The Preteen Ministry of Willowbrook aims to
- teach parents the importance of discipling their children and assist them in the process of disciplining their children.
- teach children the spiritual discipline of having a regular devotional life,
- teach them how to apply God's Word to their daily lives,
- teach them how to pray and spend time alone with God,
- teach them how to be leaders in the church,
- help those who have received Christ discover their spiritual gifts and use them to build up God's church,
- help them develop a desire to serve others inside and outside the church,
- teach them to pray for lost people and how to share their faith, and
- take children outside the church to do mission projects
This is accomplished through programming that covers the five purposes of the church. We meet every Sunday & Wednesday night.
Sunday Morning
SuperStart! A Preteen Curriculum is designed to deliver life-changing ministry by using excitement, fun, and true-to-life lessons so preteens can live out what they study. Preteens will be challenged to go deep in God’s Word and to develop lasting, meaningful relationships.
Sunday Evenings
Sunday evenings is a more relaxed time of games, Bible Study, food and fellowship. We constantly "mix up" our Sunday evenings with gym time, interactive lessons and food! We meet from 6:10-7:30 p.m. following the 5 p.m. service.
Wednesdays
Fall: Music (Wednesday evenings during the fall semester) TNT music allows students to have fun while praising God through upbeat, contemporary Christian music. TNT choir members are the leaders of the choir and have opportunities to earn drama parts and solos in our musicals! Come check us out in the fall!
Spring: TNT Missions (Wednesday evenings during the spring semester) Leaders in Training (LIT) is a discipleship ministry that works with students to:
- lead any of them who are lost to a saving knowledge of Christ
, - help them discover their identity in Christ,
- disciple them in spiritual disciplines,
- equip them for sharing the Gospel and doing ministry, and
- help them find places of service in the church, in the community, and on the mission field.
